On Wednesday, September 25, demonstrators confronted a doctor in front of the Minister of Health and the media during his visit to Saniya Raml Hospital.
Despite claims that the visit was “unexpected,” the minister was greeted by a sign regarding “a doctor impersonating a position.” Several protesters insisted on speaking with the minister to reveal information about this doctor.
After the visit concluded, the minister allowed some time for the protesters to express their concerns, revealing that they had filed complaints against the doctor, but the ministry had not yet responded despite their provision of “evidence,” as they claimed.
The protesters stated that the doctor, who heads a department at Saniya Raml Hospital, is frequently absent but is always present at private clinics. They also accused the doctor of impersonating a pediatrician, while he is, in fact, a general practitioner, according to their accounts. The minister and his accompanying staff promised to review these complaints without addressing the accusations directly.
