Calls for demonstrations by “Generation Z” in Algeria have raised alarm within the government, which prohibits all forms of protests out of fear of a recurrence of civil war. This anxiety is heightened by internal conflicts within its structures, exemplified by the recent escape of General Nasser Jen to Spain.
Following the increase in invitations to GENZ213 in Algeria, reminiscent of GenZ212 in Morocco, the Algerian News Agency launched an attack on Morocco, suggesting it is behind these calls.
The agency stated that the scheduled protests on October 3 by the GENZ213 group do not fall within the framework of social demands but are rather a means of exporting Moroccan crises abroad and an attempt to undermine the unity of the Algerian front.
