The police have, thanks to information from the General Directorate for National Territory Surveillance, dismantled a fake “military and security” operation that was defrauding citizens by claiming to intervene on their behalf in traffic accident cases and job placements for a fee.
Officers from the regional police in Ouarzazate, in coordination with their counterparts in Salé and based on information provided by the General Directorate, arrested the suspect on Wednesday, September 3.
The suspect impersonated military and security officials, deceiving several individuals in Salé by promising job placements within public forces, enrollment in sports institutes, and assistance in traffic accident cases in exchange for money.
The investigations and inquiries conducted led to the identification and arrest of the suspect in Ouarzazate. A check of his profile in the national police database revealed that he is subject to two national warrants for his involvement in a case concerning issuing a bounced check and fraud.
